Once the heavy work on the buildings was complete we could start creating a garden. We are grateful to whoever had the foresight to plant so many trees that gave us a framework to start with. Although newly planted it is already starting to mature. 

An old oak forest covers part of the grounds and provides shady shelter in the heat of the summer as well as woodland walks.

Hundreds of new olive trees were added a couple of years ago to the many mature ones we inherited. Very soon they too will be producing top quality oil. There is a vegetable orto as well as an orchard where we grow produce for the kitchen.
