Duddova. The little hillside hamlet you can see from Il Verreno with a delightful little church and a coffee or lunch stop
Villa a Sesta Polo Club. Horse lovers can watch the regular competitions and enjoy a meal at La Martina Restaurant.
San Pancrazio. Another village that can be seen from Il Verreno. The Museo della Memoria documents a Nazi atrocity of 1944.
Civitella in Val di Chiana. Wonderful views, another sad museum to another Nazi slaughter and the chance of a decent lunch.
Castelnuovo Berardenga. The renowned small Tuscan town with its elegant main street and museum is 20 minutes by car from Il Verreno.
Castello di Brolio. Whether you are a history buff or a wine enthusiast, the Castello is worth a visit. Check times before visiting.
